Instructional Related Certification

GUIDELINE DEFINITION
Individuals that already hold certification as an Instructional Administrator (01) do not have to be changed to Instructional Related Administrator (02). Individuals that already hold certification as an Instructional Supervisor (04) do not have to be changed to Instructional Related Supervisor (03). Districts may only make the change with the written agreement of the individual.

New individuals being hired will be placed under the proper category.

RATIONALE
Individuals that already hold certification as an Instructional Administrator (01) meet the necessary criteria to hold certification as an Instructional Related Administrator (02). However, changing an existing person from the 01 position to the 02 position might cause the individual to have additional educational requirements. The same would be true between the 04 and 03 positions. This was not the intended outcome of this code change. The 02 and 03 positions were created to allow additional opportunities for people to obtain employment in the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS).
