SUBJECT
Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Courses Used Toward
Academic Credits
GUIDELINE DEFINITION
WTCS credits may be applied to Requirement
57 (Major required of academic subject teachers or 30 semester credits in appropriate
area) by providing any of the following:
- A WTCS transcript documenting collegiate transfer (Aid
Code 20) credits.
- A University transcript documenting transfer of WTCS
Associate Degree (Aid Code 10) credits.
- A WTCS transcript documenting Associate Degree credits
(Aid Code 10) identified on the Articulation Agreement (Transfer Information

- A written statement from the department chair of
an accredited university that the course or a portion of the course is equivalent
to a course counting towards a minor or major in the academic area requested
for certification.

RATIONALE
Credits recognized by baccalaureate degree granting educational institutions
may apply toward WTCS requirements.
