2010 Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin, Inc. (ABC) Instructor Workshop Hours

Hours: A 10-hour workshop

Course Description: This program consists of curriculum review, adult learning styles, challenges in the classroom, blended training, ensuring teaching means learning, understanding the Wisconsin apprenticeship system, and overall ABC of WI updates. Presenters will ABC of WI staff. The workshop held at the ABC of WI Training Center in Madison, on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., which is an 11.5 hour schedule (including introduction, lunch, and breaks), with 10 hours of actual instruction. Strengths: Part of a national effort to improve individuals as instructors in the building trades.

Considerations: The workshop provides the full 10 hours necessary for Part-Time Approval instructors. Individuals must also provide documentation of two months of appropriate occupational experience.

Strengths: Presenters include ABC Education staff, ABC Safety Director, WIDS Staff, and National ABC staff.

Considerations: The workshop provides the full 10 hours necessary for Part-Time Approval instructors. Individuals must also provide documentation of two months of appropriate occupational experience.
