Adult
Education and Family Literacy (AEFL) Act
AEFL funds are used to expand educational opportunities for adults and encourage
the establishment of programs of adult education which will assist educationally
disadvantaged adults.
General
Purpose Revenue (GPR)
GPR funds provide competitive and targeted grants for Wisconsin Technical
Colleges.
Carl
D. Perkins Career & Technical Education Improvement Act (Perkins IV)
Grants are used to improve educational programs and services leading to academic
and occupational skill competencies needed to work in a technologically advanced
society. The major funding areas are Services to Special Populations Students,
Program Improvement and Reserve Grants (Nontraditional Occupations [NTO] and
Pre-Technical Learning).
Carl D. Perkins Vocational & Technical Education Act (Perkins III)
Grants are used to develop more fully the academic, vocational, and technical skills of secondary students and postsecondary students who elect to enroll in vocational and technical education programs.
Grants focus on technical preparation programs that enhance a high school student's technical and academic skills and provide opportunities for transition to postsecondary education or into the workforce. This grant was administered by the Governor's Work-Based Learning Board until July, 2006.
Work-Based
Learning Grants for Tribal Colleges
Grants to support work-based learning projects at the tribal land grant colleges
of Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa Community College and the College of the Menominee
Nation.
