General Education courses within the Wisconsin Technical College System are offered to support occupational programming, and they are selected from the areas of Communication (both oral and written), Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Social/Behavioral Sciences. All sixteen of our technical colleges offer General Education courses at the aid code 10 level to support the AAS (Associate in Applied Science) or the AAA (Associate in Applied Arts) degrees.
In addition, five of our technical colleges (MATC-Madison, MATC-Milwaukee, Nicolet Area, Chippewa Valley, and Western) offer a Liberal Arts Degree (either the Associate in Science or the Associate in Arts). The courses for those programs are offered at aid code 20.
This website provides support information and discussion topics for either all of the General Education Deans or the Liberal Arts Programs workgroup.
