Assist retail grocery store/supermarket operations, coordinate people and business activities, budget, and oversee records control.
Hire, train, motivate, and supervise staff ensuring that proper procedures are followed by checker, cashiers, baggers, stock clerks, and management support staff.
Responsible for buying and merchandising grocery, produce, and meat products, ensuring adequate stock turnover goals are achieved.
Records daily sales records, authorizes payment for vendors/suppliers of grocery, produce, and meat products; negotiates with sales representatives and related duties.
Reviews store layout and organization relative to
store sales and merchandising goals; ensure adequate customer
services are present without endangering store security due to
internal/external theft and/or spoilage.
