Operate I/O peripherals, especially printers, tape drives, and consoles.
Operate/monitor master consoles.
Monitor/control the data communications network.
Interact with the MVS, JESZ, or JES3, CICS, VTAM, /OS/400, AS/400.
Interact with other operating system software, e.g., JCL, CCL
Train other operators.
