Use of Reading Instruction Courses For 850 (Adult Basic Education) Certification

GUIDELINE DEFINITION
Reading Instruction credits are required for some options of the 850 Basic Education Certification.  This guideline provides examples of course titles appropriate for this requirement.  The list is not intended to be all-inclusive; it should serve as a guide to courses that stress instruction in reading rather than reading as the study of literature.

Introduction to Literature, Literature Surveys, English/ American Literature courses are not OK.
