University Courses Meeting Requirements - Published List

GUIDELINE DEFINITION
There will be one statewide list of university/college courses which meet Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) certification course requirements. Each university/college that offers teacher preparation or educational courses will have a District Certification Officer as a WTCS contact. The assignments are on the attached page and reflect geography and usage.

The District Certification Officer will evaluate courses against the competencies adopted by the State Certification Committee. The decision to include a course from a university/college on a statewide published list of courses will be made by the District Certification Officer. The District Certification Officer will obtain the approval of the District Certification Committee prior to submitting the list of courses to the State Certification Consultant for publication.

Courses may be approved anytime during the year.

Courses that appear on the published list will be accepted by all districts for the requirement indicated on the list.
