State Approved Ten Hour In-Service Activities
Used to Renew Part-Time Approval Certification
Police

(Individual must also have two months of occupational experience)

Current/On-Going

Local certification committees may review courses and inservice activities submitted by instructors for certification renewal activity. The committee should request a brief abstract of the course. Each course should be reviewed for its applicability to enhance instructing skills. As an example, if someone attends a presentation on SWAT Tactics, it would not be acceptable for renewal activity. However, if someone attends a train-the-trainer course on SWAT Tactics which includes information on the best way to teach various portions of the course, it would be acceptable.
