Fire Fighter I | Fire Fighter II | Driver/Operator-Pumper
Driver/Operator-Aerial | Fire Inspector I | Fire Officer I
Fire Officer II | Fire Instructor I | Fire Instructor II | Fire Instructor III

Fire Fighter I
For Wisconsin certification at this level the candidate shall have met the requirements defined in NFPA 1001 Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, 2008 Edition, Sections 5.2 through 5.5 and the job performance requirements defined in Chapter 5, Core Competencies for Operations Level Responders, and Section 6.6., Mission-Specific Competencies: Product Control, of NFPA 472. Certification is awarded upon the candidate passing written and practical skills exams.

Fire Fighter II
For certification at this level, the Wisconsin Certified Fire Fighter I shall meet the job performance requirements defined in Sections 6.2 through 6.5 of NFPA 1001. Certification is awarded upon the Certified Fire Fighter I passing written and practical skills exams.

Driver/Operator-Pumper
For certification at this level, the Wisconsin Certified Fire Fighter I or II shall meet the job performance requirements defined in Sections 2-2 through 3-2 of NFPA 1002, Standard for Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications. Certification is awarded upon the Certified Fire Fighter I or II passing written and practical skills exams.

Driver/Operator-Aerial
For certification at this level, the Wisconsin Certified Driver/Operator-Pumper shall meet the job performance requirements defined in Sections 4-1 through 4-2 of NFPA 1002. Certification is awarded upon the Certified Driver/Operator-Pumper passing written and practical exams.

Fire Inspector I
For Wisconsin certification at this level, the candidate shall have met the requirements defined in Sections 1-3.1 through 1-3.5 and the job performance requirements defined in Sections 3-2 through 3-4 of NFPA 1031, Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Inspector and Plan Examiner. Certification is awarded upon the candidate passing written and practical skills exams.

Fire Officer I
For certification at this level, the Wisconsin Certified Fire Fighter II shall meet the job performance requirements defined in Sections 2-2 through 2-7 of NFPA 1021, Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications. Certification is awarded upon the Certified Fire Fighter II passing written and practical skills exams.

Certification is awarded upon the Certified Fire Officer I passing written and practical skills exams.

Certification is awarded upon the Certified Fire Fighter II passing written and practical skills exams.
