Fire Inspector I
Parts 1 and 2

These 30-hour (60 hours total) courses prepare the participant to be able to perform fire inspection functions at a minimum nationally recognized level.

The targeted audience is individuals who have been assigned the duties of Fire Inspector I. Fire Inspector I is the first of three levels identified in NFPA 1031. The Inspector I conducts basic fire inspections and applies codes and standards.

These courses, when taken in sequential order, are designed to provide the Fire Inspector I candidate with the information needed to meet the job performance requirements (JPRs) in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1031, Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Inspector and Plan Examiner, Chapter 3.
